Nursery

Last weekend, I cleaned out the nursery. I gave my sister and Rob the furniture that was in that room and ever since then we have been using it as storage. Well, Bryson has been using it as storage for all his hunting gear. So I spent the weekend getting it all out of there.

Sarah and Rob bought us a beautiful crib for giving them the bedroom furniture. Thank you! It was so easy to put together. My mom and dad gave me a beautiful piece of furniture that my mom had bought in N.C. and then decided that it didn't really go in their house. I am going to use it as the changing table. I will have to take the hutch off to use it and then when she gets older I can put it back on. And I received a wonderful baby gift. My Aunt Diane and cousin Pearce gave me a couple of goodies. A very soft teddy bear and blanket, a stylish cover for nursing, and a munchkin feeding set. Thank you guys!

18 Weeks Pregnant

Getting bigger... I have gained 12lbs!

17 Week Ultrasound Pictures

These aren't the best ultrasounds because she wouldn't sit still, but this is what we have so far. The first one is the back of her head, her back and her arms up next to her face. The second one she is posing with her hand up on her head, her knee up by her body, and the little black dot in the middle of her chest is her heart. And the third one is a side view of her head and body. I went to the doctor today. I don't have really any news from it. He just weighed me, listened to the heartbeat, measured my belly and took my blood pressure. He said everything was looking really good. I have gained 12 lbs, so he was really happy with me! My next appointment is on June 1.

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We went yesterday to have an ultrasound and we have ourselves a little girl! Almost everyone kept telling me that I was going to have a boy but I just had this feeling that it was a girl. It is perfect because my sister is having a little boy, so now we will have one of each! We are so excited!!!
She was not behaving and it was really hard to get good measurements and pictures of her. She was moving constantly! It might have been my fault, though. Everyone told me that if I drank a little caffeine before the ultrasound that she would move for us. So on the way home from work I drank a Dr. Pepper. In the middle of the ultrasound, Bryson leaned over to me and said I think you drank too much caffeine. I guess so! She was also facing my spine, so we were only able to see the back side of her. Hopefully next time she will not be so active!
The ultrasound tech said that everything looked good. Her heart rate was 162 bpm. The tech also said that I was further along than I thought I was by a week. So I am 17 weeks instead of 16 weeks and that moves my due date to Sept 24th. Now even closer to my sister's due date!
I will post the ultrasound pics on Monday. Along with a new picture of my belly, if I can get Bryson to take one. He didn't know that he was taking the pics for my blog and now I can't get him to take anymore. He thought he was just taking pictures for my little book that keeps track of my pregnancy(Thank you Pam for the book!) and then he found out that they were going on the Internet! But don't worry I will talk him into taking some more!

14 Weeks

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday. His scale showed that I have only gained 2 lbs, but my scale at home shows that I have gained 6 lbs. Anyhow, he told me that I need to eat more and snack all the time. So today I have been trying really hard to snack constantly. We were able to hear the heartbeat and the doctor told me that the baby is moving a lot. Next week, I will have to go for my second round of genetic blood test. I think I have given more blood in the past couple of months than I have my entire life. Also, I get to make an appointment at the end of April for the anatomy ultrasound. So far most people have told me that I am having a boy but I have no clue and can't wait to find out. What do you think I will have?

Texas

Last weekend, we had a family trip to Texas to see my sister and brother-n-law's new house. The night we got there Sarah took us to the restaurant that she works at. It was very nice and had great food. I think I might have to become a waitress just to get the free food. We went to Fort Worth the next day and saw the cattle drive. I even had my picture taken on top of a long horn with my mom and sister standing beside it. And I even bought a new pair of boots because it was so cold in Texas and all I brought were sandals. We ate really good food the whole weekend and I think I should have gained 20 lbs just from the 1st day. Then the next day we went to Dallas. We went through The Sixth Floor Museum. It was all about John F. Kennedy and was very interesting. After lunch, we dropped the boys off at a bar so the girls could go shopping. My mom let Sarah and I pick out an outfit for the babies at an adorable baby shop. I can't wait to find out what we are having! That night and Sunday we relaxed at the house watching basketball and playing ping pong. I do have to tell you that Rob and I are the champions in ping pong! And no one wanted to be on my team....
We had a great weekend and can't wait to go back again! Their house is beautiful and has plenty of room for everyone to go visit them!
